These as well as other changes, such as Motive’s promise that the Dead Space remake takes place over one continuous camera take, aim to make this a cut above the original. The Dead Space remake also benefits from an Intensity Director, which, according to Motive, “dynamically adjusts what shows up in Isaac’s path, from Necromorph spawns and how they choose to attack them, to environmental effects such as light, smoke, particles and sound.” Motive promises “newly added narrative elements” to explore as players get lost in the Ishimura’s narrow halls, and the Necromorphs now benefit from the Peeling System, which will see them disassembled in a new, gory fashion. Much of what is shown in the Dead Space remake gameplay trailer features familiar scenes, but that doesn’t mean everything will be exactly the same.
